All these options are the very nice ways to warm up your muscle before we getting in a real challenge next day - the trek to Fansipan.

Day 2: Sapa – Heavens Gate at 1900 - trek to 2200 – overnight 2800mIn the morning, we travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall where we may stop to enjoy the beauty of water pouring down and making sparkling-silver color. We will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest road in Vietnam to the sea water level. Right from there, in clear weather, we can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views of the Binh Lu valley. Get ready to take this peak down to our feet.
Register at the Ranger Forest controlling point and start climbing here at 1900m. The first trek will be relatively soft until lunchtime at 2200m. We cross several streams while you start feeling the heat of the adventure. After a couple of hours hiking, we stop for a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a good lunch.
With new energy, we encounter a real adventure since then to the point of 2800m. The trail starts ascending then descending towards the campsite making your breath harder. Right at moments, you feel the real heat of the challenge, the appearance of magnificent views to Sapa and beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province wipe it all. We will arrive in the campsite at 2800m ASL in the early afternoon. Now it is time to relax and enjoy a well-prepared dinner.

Day 3: 2800m – trek Fansipan 3143m – Sapa – Drive to HanoiGet up early today at about 4.00AM. We will try to make to the top of 3.143m to catch the dawn. Start with a hot breakfast in a jungle to get energy full up, today we climb to the top, where we can celebrate your victory. Take the last climb - that is actually going down for about 200m before rising up to the top. The climb today burns less energy than one yesterday but the challenge and danger are much more with vertical cliffs. You must very much focus on your feet, the place to step on and the point to grab.
After 3 hours hiking, you reach to the stone staircase to the 3.143 peak. The last over 200 steps up is not that simple. The closer to the top, the more exhausted you feel. However, here you are...the top roof of Indochina - Fansipan. Your awards are the enjoyable feeling of victory and breathtaking, stunning nature surrounding you that you hardly feel in your whole life. Take a picture here as a certificate of winning conqueror, we prepare for getting downhill.
In order to avoid trekking back the same way to down to Sapa, we will get down by riding a cable car - that is recorded as the highest car over Asia. The view under the cable of Muong Hoa valley is unforgettable. The ride takes about 20 minutes and transfers to Sapa town for 15 minutes more. We are back to the hotel in the town, take a bath and relax.
After your own lunch, we drive back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi late afternoon, we drop you off at the checkpoint and you can walk or take a short taxi back to the hotel.
Extention tips - If you choose getting down by foot, the descending Fansipan trek is added about 4 hours extra and you expect to get back to your hotel in Sapa around 4 - 5PM. Depending on your plan, we may transfer to Lao cai for a night train that makes you arrive in Hanoi at 05.00AM next day. Or you can stay extra nights in Sapa and connect with other Sapa tours such as trekking to villages or visiting ethnic markets.
