Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Hanoi Arrival 

Xin Chao! Welcome to Hanoi - the capital city of Vietnam!
HIT Vietnam tour guide welcomes you at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi city) then transfer to your hotel in the city center. Check in and have some times to relax after a long-haul flight. During the time left of the day, you enjoy an introduction talk to Vietnam’s fascinating past by our tour guide and a welcome dinner at a nice restaurant in the city center. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 02: Hanoi City Tour 

Breakfast is at your hotel, our tour guide and driver will meet you the lobby and have a full day city tour:
This morning, we will start to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum complex( Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, Presidential palace, one pillar pagoda, HCM museum)and move to Van Mieu (the temple of literature). This is the first university in Vietnam where "born" a lot of talent persons for our country in the past.
Get back to the old quarter to visit Ngoc Son temple that located in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy the walking tour around the old quarter to discover the local life. A water puppet show is included after the city tour.

Day 03: Hanoi - Ha Long cruise by shuttle bus

After breakfast, we will depart directly to the city of Quang Ninh and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Today we will take a joined group tour with a shuttle bus and a shared tour guide collecting you at the hotel or a check-point from 07.40 – 08.00 for a drive to Halong bay.
Upon arrival of Halong bay port at 12.00; check in to your private cabin on traditional Halong bay junk. The junk sets sail while you enjoy some welcome drink and see off the busy seaport. The cruise enters the bay with a short brief of cruise manager then you will have a sumptuous seafood lunch and spend the afternoon cruising passing the many limestone peaks and islands that form this picturesque Halong bay of Vietnam. Relax on the deck of the cruise this afternoon and overnight onboard.
Your accommodation tonight is a private, onboard cabin with air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom.

Day 04: Halong bay – Hanoi - Train to Hue

Wake early as the mist rises over the Halong bay, an ideal time to take pictures. Enjoy breakfast and continue your Halong cruise trip, after the brunch then clear bill while returning to shore. Our vehicle picks you up at the Halong port then transfer back to Hanoi. You will have some free time to enjoy a coffee cup and dinner before transferring to Hanoi Railway station for a night train to Hue. 
One of our staffs will contact to collect you at your address, take a taxi and help you with checking cabin on train.

Day 05: Hue arrival and city tour 

You arrive in Hue, the Cultural World Heritage of Vietnam at around 08.00AM. We will transfer to your hotel for leaving your things, take sometimes for relaxing then our private car with guide start a Hue city tour with a visit to the Royal Imperial Citadel (Dai Noi), the Forbidden Palace to find out the luxurious lives of the Nguyen Kings under the feudal regime. 
Afternoon, we will keep our visit to Thien Mu pagoda and a King tomb to learn more about the views of the King’s afterlife under Nguyen Dynasty. Overnight in Hue

Day 06: Hue city tour - transfer to Hoian 

After breakfast, get ready for the drive via a beautiful road leading to Hoi an town. Before reaching the beautiful town, the road is really stunning itself. You will drive along the coastline of Hue via many small, calm lagoons then climb up the most stunning pass in Central Vietnam – Hai Van. Stop here for photo where offers stunning views towards the ocean. Drive down to the pass then you immediately arrive in Danang. The last drive is silky smooth along World best beach – My Khe.
Arrive in Hoi An around lunch time. Take a short city tour to learn about the town with over 400-years-old ancient house, Japanese bridge, a Chinese pagoda and a handicraft workshop before back to the hotel.

Day 07: Hoian free day to explore

A free day at leisure on the beach or you can wander the many tailor shops around Hoian center or rise early. You can consider some optional tours such as the morning cookery class which begins with a visit to the colorful market of Hoian to purchase your ingredients then transfer the cooking school where a two-hour lesson follows. The menu is often Vietnamese traditional food eg spring rolls, bun cha, and a kind of soup. In the late afternoon, there is the option of gentle cruise tour on Thu Bon River with nice cocktails. By the end of the day, reward yourself with a delicious dinner with local specialties at one of many friendly restaurants. All optional are excluded. Overnight in Hoian

Day 08: Hoi an - fly to Saigon

Enjoy the morning in charming Hoi an beach, we wake up early for a romantic sunrise over the sparkling beach then we leave for Saigon city by a short flight – approx. 1 hour. Arrive in the most modern city in Vietnam, you will be taken to the best highlights of Saigon city with Independent Palace, War Remnants Museum, Post Office, North Dame Cathedral and some free time at one of its bustling markets. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 09:  Saigon – Cai Be farmstay

Today, our tour guide picks you up at the hotel at around 08.30am and we start our trip to explore the vast of Mekong delta. The easy transfer along highway passes ever- green rice fields before we arrive in our homestay in Cai be town. We will spend our first night here to discover how the giant river effects on human life and their living-makings. Trying fishing at the house’s pond and biking to visit orchards surroundings. End up the day with a cooking class with ingredients are home-made and home-raised products.

Day 10: Cai Be – Chau Doc sunset from mountains

Up early for cycling around Tan Phong – a charming and peaceful island beside the amazing riverside market with all its bustling activity and smorgasbord of sounds, colors. We continue to visit daily life and manual traditional factories to make rice cake, facilities then visiting a local primary school, and enjoy tea and coffee with local farmers. Discover fruits garden with a lot of tropical fruits and enjoying it with owners. 
After lunch, we drive to Chau Doc, where we will prepare for jungle discover next day. Arrive in Chau doc just in time of sunset. We walk up for a short distance to the sacred Sam Mountain. From here, you will enjoy its panoramic view over the vast plains into Cambodia, rice fields and Mekong river from Cambodia to Vietnam twisting along mountains. Spend this night at border gate town.

Day 11: Chau Doc – speed boat Phnom Penh (Cambodia)

Today, we take a high-speed boat to Phnom Penh, our driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to the pier. Take a 5-hour boat to Phnom Penh. Cambodia visa is easy to get at the border. Enjoy your free time on the boat. Arrive in Phnom Penh at noon. Be picked by our driver and tour guide transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, have a visit to the Russian market and discover the life in this capital.

Day 12: Phnom Penh – City Tour

A visit to S21 prison and Killing field will lead you to the painful history under the Polpot regime. Back to the city center at noon to visit Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Enjoy the cyclo ride down Sihanouk Boulevard to visit the National Museum.

Day 13: Phnom Penh – fly to Siem Reap

The tour guide and driver are at your disposal until transfer to airport and get ready for your onward flight to Siem Reap – the world heritage and the pride of Cambodia.
Arrive in Siem Reap Town and transfer to your hotel with a private tour guide for check-in. If the time permits, we visit Preah Khan is one of the largest complexes at Angkor, was built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. Sister temple to Ta Prohm and then we continue to Neak Pean temple, it has a large square pool surrounded by four smaller square pools.

Day 14: Siem Reap – Angkor Tour

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Angkor Thom, the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, built from the late 12th century to the early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII and consists of 54 towers, the Royal Enclosure, the Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King, then visit Ta Prohm, surrounded by jungle. 
Visit Angkor Wat, the largest temples in the world and covers an area of 200 hectares and surrounded by moats and an exterior wall measuring 1300 meters x 1500 meters.

Day 15: Siem Reap – Grand Circuit of Angkor – Tonle Sap Lake 

After breakfast, we set off for the morning ride towards the “Grand Circuit” of Angkor Wat. This road will lead through temples such as Preahkahn, NeakPean and West Mebon. The shady roads contribute to a nice experience and you will be able to “discover” some great structures from the 12th and 13th century.
In the afternoon we transfer to the lake. The Tonle Sap Lake lies in the heart of Cambodia. It’s the largest fresh water lake in South East Asia and its biodiversity put the Tonle Sap on the Ecological Wonders of the World list. Half of the Cambodian population relies on this lake. The many floating villages are spectacular to see and on this tour, you will visit ChhongKneas, one of the largest floating villages. 
Transfer back to the hotel and enjoy your last night in the land of Angkor.

Day 16: Siem Reap – Bus to Bangkok 

Breakfast at hotel and transfer to the bus station for the long by an enjoyable bus ride to Bangkok – the capital of Thailand. The bus departs at 08.00 – 09.00AM daily and take about 8-hour drive. This is always recommended to watch out your things when you walk through the border gate. The visa enters to Bangkok or Visa letter of approval must be done in advanced. 
You suppose to arrive in Bangkok late afternoon. Check in your hotel and relax.

Day 17: City Temple Tour – Royal Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha.

Breakfast at hotel and then sightseeing tour to visit: At first visit to Wat Traimit, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, the temple is famous for its 900-years old five-and-a-half-ton solid gold image, and then continue to visit Wat Arun, perhaps better known as the Temple of the Dawn, is one of the best known landmarks and one of the most published images of Bangkok. After that, visit Wat Po, the largest and oldest temple in Bangkok, as well as the largest single Buddha image: the Reclining Buddha (Phra Buddhasaiyas). The temple is also known as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage Reclining Buddha. 
After lunch, we continue to visit the most famous tourist places in Bangkok, Royal Grand Palace, and Emerald Buddha. The Grand Palace adjoins Wat Phra Kaew in a common compound and is where you will end up after exiting Wat Phra Kaew. Despite the proximity of the two, there's a distinct contrast in style between the very Thai Wat Phra Kaew and the more European inspired designs of the Grand Palace (the roof being the exception). After this place, we back to the hotel and free at leisure.

Day 18: Bangkok – Kanchanaburi.

Pick up at the hotel and depart for Kanchanaburi. The trip visit to War Museum (Thailand-Burma Railway Centre); an open-air museum constructed in the form of actual prisoners of war (POW) camp, there are collection of photographs, picture, articles, pistols, knives and other items from the construction of the “Death Railway” War Cemetery; the cemetery of the remains of over 6,000 prisoners of war, who lost their lives during the construction of the “Death Railway” then continue to visit the world’s famous Bridge on the River Kwai. After that, take a long-tailed boat from pier to get to the River Kwai Resotel, passing by unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery. 
Check-in on arrival. Lunch will be served. Take a long-tail boat upstream to visit the nearby ethnic Mon Tribal Village Dinner, followed by a 45-minute presentation of Mon Dance.

Day 19: Kanchanaburi – Bangkok.

Breakfast at hotel, and then take an exciting boat ride downstream to Resotel Pier and continue to visit the Hellfire pass Memorial and Cutting Mountain for a railway track have done by hands of the Allied prisoners. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Then take a historic ride on Death Railway Train, passing lush forest; the last existing train station of the Thailand-Burma railway in Thailand, passing the dangerous looking wooden viaduct built along the mountain. Arrive Nam-Tok station and continue back to your hotel in Bangkok.

Day 20: Bangkok – Fly to Yangon (Myanmar)

After breakfast, free at leisure till time transfer to Bangkok airport for flight departure. Your Thai guide and driver will see you off at the airport. Get ready for the flight to Yangon Myanmar
Upon arrival, you are welcome by our Myanmar tour guide who will escort you to downtown and visit the iconic symbol of Myanmar – Shwedagon pagoda. The legend keeps telling that a Buddha relic is now still preserving inside the high, main, center stupas. 
You drive to the hotel in Yangon and check in your room.

Day 21: Yangon city tour - night bus to Bagan

This morning, we explore more the charm of Yangon city starting from Sule pagoda to Colonial buildings including City Hall, Emmanuel church.... to Chinese temple and town.
In the afternoon, we will do some shopping at Scott market, the biggest market in Myanmar, being famous of its gems, jewelry, handicrafts....Tonight, you board on a comfortable bus for an overnight trip to the world heritage of Myanmar – Bagan.

Day 22: Bagan arrival and tour

Arrive early in Bagan. Check into the hotel and depart for a sightseeing excursion around the Bagan Archaeological Zone World Heritage Area. 
A comprehensive exploration of Bagan includes Nyaung Oo market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas; Kyansittha Umin; Wet-kyi-inn Gubyaukgyi Temple with an exquisite mural painting of 13th century and Htilominlo Temple. In the afternoon, after a visit to lacquer ware workshops; continue to Manuha Temple built by exile King Manuha; Nanphaya, said to have been the residence of King Manuha; Ananda Temple, architectural masterpiece and Oak-Kyaung monastery decorated with multi-color mural paintings. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset from one of the highest temples of Bagan.

Day 23: Bagan discovery

After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Mt. Popa about 48 km southeast of Bagan. Mt. Popa, known as the abode of Nats (spirits) – a collection of 37 magical spirits both feared and honored by some Myanmar people and the nat museum, which houses 37 life-size nat statues sculpted from teak. It’s time to climb 777 steps to the summit. 
Proceed to Popa Mountain Resort (1hr drive ) for your own lunch. The restaurant offers a great view to the Popa summit that stands straight from the central plain. After lunch, return drive back to Bagan. On the way back, en route stop at village cottage industry to learn the regional product as well as to watch the collection of juice from the palm trees, and its conversion to brown sugar.

Day 24: Bagan – fly to Heho – Inle Lake

Embarking on a flight to Heho, you will enjoy a scenic drive to Nyang Shwe from where you will embark on a beautiful boat trip to explore the life of Intha people whose image exposes vividly through one leg rower.  Spend our time to know about local traditional work such as making a boat, blacksmith, silk weaving and enjoy the uniqueness of Jumping Cat pagoda.

Day 25: Inle Lake – Local market – hill tribe tour 

After breakfast at the hotel, visit floating market which is a 5day rotation market most fascinating to watch the daily life of the minorities and their activities. Continue our excursion by motorized boat to Indein pagoda complex, in the southwest of the lake. The boat leaves the lake and enters a narrow canal with a beautiful natural environment to continue to a small Pa O tribe village. From the village, follow an old covered path to a 13th-century monastery and the very impressive ruins of hundreds of ancient pagodas, some hidden in the vegetation. The main stupa-area on the top of the hill offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and down to the valley and the lake in the far distance. Return to your hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Day 26: Inle Lake (Heho ) – fly to Ngapali beach

We are heading back down the country today to return to the airport at Heho for our flight to Yangon. Our route takes us back to Heho and down the escarpment to Nyaung-Shwe for a busy local market. Check in at the airport and fly south to Ngapali beach. This is the best beach of Myanmar with calm and clean water toward Bengal Bay.
Upon arrival, pick up to the hotel and free stay at leisure..

Day 27: Ngapali Free day.

Free at your leisure to swim, enjoy the sea and the sun. You also may walk along the beach to interact with local fishermen.

Day 28: Ngapali - fly to Yangon

Free time at your leisure until the flight time back to Yangon. The flight is about 1 hour. Saving your last days in Myanmar for shopping or visiting some further places that you have not done in the previous days.

Day 29: Yangon departure

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Yangon International airport for your return international departure flight for your flight back to your home country.
