HIT Vietnam tours' local guide sends our warmest welcome at the airport and helps you transfer to downtown. While briefing some essential information of our incoming tour, you may have some very first impression of our capital city.
Depending on your arrival time, we manage some hours for your first Vietnam experience with a visit to the famed Ancient Streets where you will find unique street vendors, busy traditional workshops, and holy temples. Continue your discovery with water puppet show, inspired by Red River Delta peasants. A welcome dinner is invited by us to give you some ideas of Vietnamese food and cuisine.

Day 02: Hanoi – Halong cruise overnightHalong bay is definitely a must for all travelers to Vietnam. We won’t let you miss this site even in such short Vietnam tour. After breakfast transfer to Halong City in a 3.5-hour drive. We arrive the harbor city around lunch time and board on the overnight junk for checking in. You will be served with delicious, fine lunch while the crew sets the warmest welcome and the cruise sets sails into the bay. Your visit today is Halong grotto, a floating market or maybe a swimming at a small but lovely beach on the bay. The best highlight of the first day can be moments of the sunset while you are leisurely lying on the sundeck. Overnight onboard.

Day 03: Halong – But Thap pagoda - HanoiAn active morning with Tai chi class on the sundeck or just leisurely laying on the chairs to enjoy the sunrise over islets. Followed by the breakfast, you will paddle to hidden, awesome caves and visiting a floating village. Sailing back to dock while brunch is serving.
Check out the junk while our driver awaits you for transfer back to Hanoi with an en route stop at But Thap pagoda – the typical pagoda in Red River delta. Arrive in Hanoi around 5pm, spend your time to see Hanoi by night with bustling nights in Ancient Quarter.

Day 04: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Pu Luong retreatLeaving Hanoi in morning and we drive to a beautiful, hidden gem - Pu Luong Retreat. You enter Pu Luong Nature Reserve after about 4 hours drive by road via a breathtaking mountain pass giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley. You arrive at your accommodation in time for a delicious lunch, followed by free time to explore the beautiful retreat, with its captivating panoramic views and tranquil setting.
Afternoon, you will be transferred to a suspension bridge over the Cham River, where you begin your walk in search of stunning water wheels. Get up close to each wheel and discover how water is moved from a river to handmade bamboo aqueducts via simple constructions of all sizes.
Arriving at a local fisherman’s house, you have a short rest to gear up for the rafting adventure with Dinh and his team. Float along the calm river and enjoy the views, in between learning how to paddle and steer your handcrafted rafts.
Arriving at scenic Tan Lap bridge, you disembark to be transferred back to Pu Luong Retreat for dinner.

Day 05: Village life Pu Luong - HanoiWe have breakfast at the Retreat. In the morning, you have the chance to get close to village life and interact with locals living in the hills above the Retreat. Take a glimpse at daily life, walk around working farmland and rice fields, and learn about making rice wine and weaving colorful textiles, followed by lunch at the Lodge.
After lunch, we drive back to Hanoi for next 4 hours transfer. Arrive in Hanoi late afternoon. Free time until your train schedule departing for the next awesome site of Vietnam – Quang Binh with famous caving system over the world. Overnight on train.

Day 06: Phong Nha cave explorationArrive the Railway station in early morning, you will have some time to refresh up then we start our tour to one of world class’ masterpieces in Quang Binh – Phong Nha cave.
We board a sampan along Son river to reach the cave. Along the river, you will listen to our tour guide talk about the cave information as well as the role of this place in Vietnamese history. You even can see the board “Hochiminh Legendary trail” in one bank of the river. Explore the cave – Thien Duong cave - for a few hours then back to downtown for overnight.

Day 07: Dong Hoi – DMZ tour – HueLeaving Dong hoi by Ho Chi Minh Trail (not A1 National way), that is much less traffic and more beautiful, we will have a short stop at Truong Son National Cemetery to pay respect to the soldiers who fought and died on the trail during the wars. From there, we head to Dong Ha Town passing Ben Tat Bridge, built by the VC (Viet Cong) over the Ben Hai River - the natural separator between North and South Vietnam in Vietnam - America war. The surrounding became DMZ during this time. Visiting the mystic Vinh Moc Tunnel and the historic Hien Luong Bridge, the special bridge with two ends controlled by two confronted political and army policies.
Head down to Hue city - the last imperial city of Vietnam. Overnight in Hue.

Day 08: Hue’s Royal Citadel tourToday we visit the last citadel that is best preserved in South East Asia – Hue Purple Forbidden Citadel. This place is also known as Royal palace that is in quite good conditions because it is listed in Cultural World Heritages and has existed just for over 200 years.
The citadel is surrounded by charming, green streets. From outside, you can see the flag pole where the place was the last emperor handover the power to the new political institution and holes on the fortress by bombs during American wartime. After visiting the inside the citadel, we drive along Huong River to see Thien Mu Pagoda just located on a river's bank. After your own dinner, we are free to wander around the old city that depends on your choice. Overnight in Hue.

Day 09: Hue Royal tombs – drive to HoianAfter breakfast, continue to see more about Hue city with Royal tombs: Tu Duc King and Khai Dinh Kinh’s tombs. These tombs reflect the luxury in their afterlife of Kings and also show the style of each King: Tu Duc loved poetry very much while Khai Dinh was very modern and opened to Western culture. Lunch is on your own account.
In the afternoon, we proceed to Hoian – the outstanding World Culture Heritage of Vietnam with 160km away to the south of Hue. The drive along the coastal highway is leisure passing many calm lagoons, small bays, and stunning mountainous passes. Arrive in Hoi An late afternoon and free time. Overnight in Hoi an

Day 10: Hoi An city tourToday take a short walking tour of Hoi An. Visit the local market, Tan Ky old house - a sample of Vietnamese culture, the Fukien Assembly Hall - a typical architecture masterpiece represented for Chinese culture and the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge - the symbol of Japanese culture marks. You will understand why Hoi An is so much special and lovely like that. Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon to explore at your own pace. Overnight in Hoi an.

Day 11: Hoian sunset cruiseWe leave this whole morning free under you own management. Hoian is a small town but has many things to offer. You can swim in Cua Dai beach or rent a bike at very cheap prices to self-explore around.
This afternoon is leisure time with a sunset cruise. Transfer to the dock at around 15.00 PM then board on a traditional cruise. The cruise traverse along Thu Bon River while cool cocktail is serving. You may encounter some fishermen catching fishes on the river before the sunset. Enjoy the beautiful moments of the splendid river under the last lights of the day.

Day 12: Hoian - fly to Nha TrangFree time until we pack your things for your flight to the most beautiful beach of Vietnam or possibly over the world, Nha Trang beach. On the way transferring from airport to your hotel, you will admire the crystal beach with endless white sand in front of your eyes. And yes....you are in a tropical paradise.
This afternoon is all yours with sunbathing, swimming, lying on sand or whatever you may like.

Day 13: Khmer civilization in Nha TrangNha Trang is a city favored by nature. But its history and culture can amaze any traveler because this area once was the center of Khmer people who built a huge kingdom with the unique architecture masterpieces that have been standing till today.
You will be taken by our guide to the most typical works of Khmer Kingdom including Ponagar Temple built in the 8th century and Chong Promontory (two big rocks called husband & wife rock). We end up the day at Dam Market for seafood shopping.

Day 14: Nha Trang – train to Sai gonNha Trang is interesting city enough for you to self-enjoy. Swimming, sunbathing or sightseeing services are all easy to access. Free time today in your very own way in order to get panoramic views of the city.
You may need a late check out this day then take a short taxi to the railway station for a night train ride to Sai Gon (Ho Chi Minh city) the biggest city of Vietnam. Overnight on train.

Day 15: Sai gon city– China town – Jade pagodaArrive Sai gon in the early morning, get a refresh by a hot breakfast before exploring this city.
This morning, we spend some time for historical sites in town with Reunification Palace - the symbol of our country reunification and independence, War Remnant Museum, where displays the evidence of the Vietnamese wartime.
After enjoying your own lunch, we will visit the China Town for a little Chinese community here with Jade Emperor Pagoda (Chua Phuoc Hai) – the most beautiful pagoda in Sai gon - to marvel at its spectaculars gilt wood carving. The pagoda honors 3 types of religious, the Confucius, the Buddhism and the Taoism. As the result, the deities will be in multi - shape to represent their various spirit.
Following this visit, we drive to Thien Hau pagoda – the most typical Chinese pagoda. You will shortly realize the fundamental difference between North and South Vietnam pagodas. We end ups our day tour with a visit to Cho Lon market and easy walk around the city.

Day 16: Cao Dai Temple & Cu Chi TunnelDepart hotel at 8am in the morning for the drive to Tay Ninh, west of Sai Gon for 3 hours. Your eyes will be opened to the rice paddies on the way, farmers drying noodles by the side of the road, a typical scenery of Vietnamese villagers. We will visit Cao Dai Great Temple in Tay Ninh, where, whatever your religion is, you can find it here. This temple is the blending of Christianity, Buddhism, and Confucianism. Exploring this wonderful site and attend the noon-day mass, an interesting experience should not be missed.
After lunch, we will drive back to Cu Chi and visit the Cu Chi tunnels system, which was built by the southern Vietnamese soldiers to fight back both the French colonies and American troops. This was where the soldiers worked, lived, ate and cure each other during the war, the longest tunnels of Vietnam that mark the war history.
Late afternoon, drive back to Sai Gon, free time at your leisure.

Day 17: Saigon - Cai be farmstay – biking & cookingPick you up from the hotel, we take a pleasant transfer in about 2 hours to Cai be farm stay. This is a remote house located at an isolated islet in the middle of a canal. You are warmly welcome by the host with welcome drinks followed by a delicious lunch. Leaving your packs in the room, we start an afternoon becoming a fisherman. Get down to the farm stay's pond and you will try to catch fish which is really fun and interesting. Your caught fishes will be the main ingredients for dinner tonight.
After catching fishes, we take a bike to a local market where you will be a real local and buy all needed herbs, vegetables, and other foods for tonight. Back to your farm stay, you will prepare your dinner by yourself with fantastic cooking class. Enjoy dinner made by yourself from a-z.

Day 18: Mekong delta – Sai gonUp early for cycling around Tan Phong – a charming and peaceful island beside the amazing riverside market with all its bustling activity and smorgasbord of sounds, colors. We continue to visit daily life and manual traditional factories to make rice cake, facilities then visiting a local primary school, and enjoy tea and coffee with local farmers. Discover fruits garden with a lot of tropical fruits and enjoying it with owners.
After lunch, a transfer to Saigon is included and you supposed to be in Sai gon late afternoon. Spend your last night in Vietnam with a fantastic night out with bars, night clubs, street beers or coffee shops.

Day 19: Sai gon DepartureThe tour guide and driver are at your disposal until transfer to airport and get ready for your onward flight. Just remind your flight time and our tour guide will transfer you to the airport.
